The Last Straw Farm is a new Miniature Donkey Farm started in 2006.  We previously had horses and goats, but we fell in love with the Miniature Donkeys because of their gentle nature and safety around small children.

These endearing qualities started us on a different path in life.  They have brought such joy to our children and grandchildren that we wanted to share these animals with others.

The well being of our donkeys and the breed is of utmost importance to us.  We believe in "Jennets First", so our donkeys are not bred until 4-5 years old and allowed to rest 1-2 years between breeding.  We feel that this creates healthy and happy donkeys.
